

2025 Fall Private Treaty Sale
This year’s production sale will be private treaty. We will feature a small number of elite Highland Spice heifer calves, one or two bulls, and a select offering of cows and genetics. We have invited two exceptional breeders who use Highland Spice genetics to offer their heifer calves for your consideration: Midway Meadows of Esko, MN, and Taunton Farms of Shelly, ID. Catalog expected to drop September 15, 2025. Cattle will be ready to travel to their new homes in early November. Sign up for our email list below to make sure you receive the catalog in September!

Highland Spice is a working Highland cattle ranch in the foothills of Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains near Buffalo, Wyoming. In a county where the number of cows greatly outnumbers the human population, where the winters are harsh, and where cattle have to work for a living, our Highlands thrive. Owned and operated by Angie Long, a 4th generation cattle rancher in Johnson county, Wyoming, our focus is on raising hardy, docile, functional highland cattle – with the elite look that has become expected from Highland Spice.
Highland Spice - History
When Angie was in 5th grade, she read an article about Highland cattle in one of her dad’s regional ag papers. Her father, Bryan Long, was always a supporter of anything related to agriculture. He encouraged Angie to call the author, who recommended they attend the National Western Stock Show and Sale in Denver at the end of that week…
